Awakening to The Light: Imbolc Circle
Hosted by Roots and Resonance
Saturday, 1 February 2020 from 11:00-14:00
You are invited into co-created and guided circle to be deeply relaxed, nourished and re-charged – gently moving into an awareness of the shifting seasons & the ancient stories and lore that can support personal and collective growth.
We are on the cusp of spring, in the depths of winter’s cold – new life begins to emerge – within the landscape and deep within us. You will connect to personal guidance through ancient & essentially timeless practices, whilst working with the healing and physical presence of the flame. Supported by ancient ritual, you will take this “fire” back home with you, to guide you into the increasing light…
Guided by Sarah Fay, Ancient Ways Practitioner & Seer, using practices grounded in local landscape & seasonal folklore. This ceremonially-held workshop, one of 8 following the Wheel of the Year, will include: co-creation of a seasonal Altar, the awakening and “charging” of your personal Imbolc Candle through consciousness-altering practices & herbal preprations, rhythm-making with percussion and a guided drum-led inward journey for self-discovery and deep relaxation.
Booking: **please email Sarah to book your place via payment**
Investment: £30 / £20 low-income (limited allocations)
Venue: the downstairs yoga Studio at the Birchcliffe Centre, Hebden Bridge.
**Refund policy: refunds are unavailable after 21st January as places are limited for these popular circles** Once you have booked and paid, you will receive an email indicating how best to prepare for this circle and venue logistics, what to bring etc. Alongside the above, this circle includes:
Co-created inclusive sacred space. Use of sound & gentle movement to alter consciousness and bring us into the present moment. Content on deepening a personal journeying practice and the importance of developing a connection with an inner guide / higher self / familiar…. The ancient practice of a guided drum-led inner journey, for personal insight, healing and deep relaxation
Optional and respectfully-held sharing in small groups, alongside time for personal journalling / reflection. Light refreshments & seasonal herbal teas and a beautiful comfortable venue with blankets & yoga mats available…
These circles are a celebration of collective & individual diversity of life experience and beliefs. This includes and celebrates folks of all genders including women, men, gender fluid, trans and LGBTQI+ folks, adults of all ages and heritages, individuals with varied abilities (please let me know of any access requirements or sensory needs I can support you with before the event), those with religious beliefs or spiritual practices – and those with none.
